Job Description
BritishBookPublishing, a leading name in the UK publishing industry, is looking for a talented and dynamic Book Publisher to join our team. As a Book Publisher, you will oversee the entire publishing process for both print and eBooks, ensuring that high-quality, market-ready books are produced and successfully launched. This role requires a deep understanding of the publishing industry, excellent project management skills, and a passion for bringing new literary works to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manuscript Acquisition: Identify and acquire compelling manuscripts from new and established authors. Evaluate submissions and decide on which projects to pursue.
- Editorial Oversight: Work closely with authors and editors to guide manuscripts through the editorial process, ensuring they meet BritishBookPublishing’s high standards for content and quality.
- Production Management: Oversee the production process for both print and eBooks, including formatting, design, and layout. Ensure that books are produced on schedule and within budget.
- EBook Publishing: Manage the digital publishing process, including eBook formatting, metadata optimization, and distribution across various digital platforms.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote new releases. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to maximize book visibility and sales.
- Author Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, providing them with support and guidance throughout the publishing process.
- Market Research: Stay informed about trends in the publishing industry and identify opportunities for new projects and market growth.
